January 2012 - Part 2

January 12th to 15th

Nathan, Laura, Audrey and Andrew visited and stayed with us for the weekend.  We had a great time visiting with them and getting to see their little ones again.  Audrey is as friendly as can be and started talking to us right away.  Andrew was a little more on the shy side, but a sweetheart!

Friday night we had everyone over for dinner and games.  Uncle Zeb and Beau played tennis on the wii.

I think Jay is trying to stay awake in this picture.

Little Miss Audrey didn't mind that we have all boy's toys!

Jeremy got in on some Nerf Gun wars...

while us gals and babies hung out in the safe zone...toy room.  Little Devin and his mommy - he is so cute!

Sam and Hunter are out!  We really enjoyed having our nephew stay the night a few times this month!  We never could convince Andrew to stay, but he enjoyed playing here anyway.

And Beau opted for the couch this night!

And they are ready to go at 8 am Saturday morning!

Beau's Basketball Tournament at Odin

Between games we visited at Hap & Elizabeth's and went to lunch with them.  Hunter got to hold Jacob.

After the games, we were back in Patoka for dinner with the family.  This is a picture of all the little cousins that night.

Sunday night, Hap, Sam & Andrew came over for some games and popcorn.  Sam stayed the night with us.

January 17th - Hunter played in the junior high game at Louisville and made a basket!  I don't have any pictures from that night.

January 19th - Hunter's last junior high game, played at Rome

January 20th - Goodbye Night

We dined with Hap, Elizabeth, Sam and Andrew (Jacob wasn't feeling well) at Pizza Hut on Friday night.  We enjoyed dinner and the kids had fun playing the racing games.  After dinner we went to their house in Salem for a little while.  The boys enjoyed jumping on the bed...

and a few little treats for their trip to Virginia.

It was a sad night as we said goodbye.  We will miss them as they begin this journey, but know that God has many plans for them and the people they will come in contact with.  As we were leaving, Andrew asked why Hunter was crying and his mom told him because his heart was hurting.  I borrowed this picture from her blog.

Please pray for their family.  They will be in Virginia for 8 weeks before they go overseas.  You can keep up with them at http://www.thejolliffs.blogspot.com/

January 21st to 22nd - Beau's Tournament at Iuka

The team won their game on Sunday!

January 2012 - Part 1

New Year's Day - Church Service for Hap & Elizabeth at Patoka United Methodist Church

The church honored Hap & Elizabeth as they are preparing to go overseas.  Hap preached and gave their testimony.  It was a great service.

The pastors from the churches in Patoka also attended and prayed with the family.

After church we had ham and beans at Carl & Jessica's.  My best shot at the 5 grandsons.

January 3rd - Beau's top tooth is hanging by a thread.

January 4th - Uncle Hap assisted in the tooth falling out when he and Beau were playing around and it just popped out. Luckily Uncle Hap found it on the floor and the Tooth Fairy made a visit that night!

January 6th - 7th

Hunter's 1st Pee Wee Basketball Game

Beau's 1st Traveling Team Basketball Game

We had to split our time on Saturday as both boys were playing close to the same time and at different locations!

And then onto my parent's for one more Christmas gathering with the Casey Family...

A busy and fun start to the year!

New Year's Eve

We hosted a small party with friends on NYE.  Hunter and Beau got to try out their friend Colin's dirt bike!

Most of the kids made it up until 11 pm, so we watched the countdown in New York.
