Moving is so much fun!

Well, we have moved almost everything to Patoka. We spent the weekend moving and went back to work today. Thankfully, we had Monday off. I drove Hunter and Beau to Highland today. Hunter had school and Beau had a dentist appointment (2nd and hopefully last filling). Then I worked from home about half the day, loaded up what I could in the truck and raced back to Patoka trying to beat another storm. We were very fortunate that it didn't rain while we were moving over the weekend. Thank you everyone that helped us with our move! We could not have done it with you!

Then and Now

As we prepare to move this weekend, I'm filled with so many emotions: excitement, nervousness, happiness, sadness - and STRESS! (just kidding!)

I am going to miss living in Highland and our house, but looking forward to new adventures in Patoka. I'm praying that Hunter and Beau will adjust fine and make new friends easily.

For some reason we like to move in May and over Memorial Day Weekend. Exactly 5 years ago, we moved to Highland. Let's just pray it doesn't take us 5 more years to find a permanent place to settle in Patoka!

Beau is a graduate

We attended the Pre-K Graduation for Beau and many of his friends last Friday. He had a great time. They sang songs and walked across the stage to receive their diplomas.

Muffins with Mom

Yesterday was Muffins with Mom at Hunter's school. We enjoyed some very large muffins and then the children sang 3 songs for us. It was so sweet and most of us were crying! Mrs. Townsend was very emotional and the children would laugh at her because she was crying - it was cute! We all sang and did the motions for the final song called "A Tootie Tot". It was funny! I received several presents too, artwork from 1st grade and a mini photo album of Hunter. His teacher is so awesome!

Cardinals Game with Dad

Jay and Hunter went to the Cardinals game Wednesday night. Hunter called on their way home to tell me about it, "They saw Albert Pujols hit a home run, ate a hot dog and 1 1/2 pretzels, and had 3 sodas!" I think Daddy forgot to limit the soda intake on a school night, but they had a fun night together. Beau was invited over to his cousin Owen's for a sleepover and he had a lot of fun too. They got to play all day together on Thursday and Beau loved getting to skip a day of school! Thanks Krystin!!!!

SOLD

We closed on the house today. It doesn't seem real, as we are still living here, but we are so happy that everything went well! The buyers are very nice and I think they will take wonderful care of our home (and I am really going to miss this house!).

Uncle Zeb's new toy

The boys enjoyed riding in Uncle Zeb's new backhoe and trying out the controls. Before we know it, they'll be operating it on their own!

We had a good weekend - cleaned a little in the rent house and cleaned a lot at our house. We are closing tomorrow. The buyers did their walk through tonight and their realtor said they are excited. We will be so glad to have this deal finalized! Have a good week!

The gap is even wider!

Hunter pulled his 3rd tooth last night and yes, it is on the top, so now he's extra cute with the large gap! As you can see, his 1st top tooth is already coming in. He woke up and thought the Tooth Fairy didn't come last night, but then found his money under his covers!

This is Beau after his trip to the dentist on Tuesday (we were making cookie dough). Unfortunately he had to get a filling, but he did super and didn't seem bothered by having the work done!
