Hunter's Birthday

Hunter had a great birthday. It was fun that it fell on a Friday this year and since I volunteer at school on Fridays, I was able to be there for his special day. (He did think he should be able to come home with me early...but we convinced him to stay!) His teacher is so awesome! For each child's birthday, they get to pick friends (the number of friends = age) to be their candles and then all the other children surround them and they all walk around the birthday boy/girl and sing Happy Birthday. Then the birthday boy/girl gets to blow out the candles. It was really cute. Here are some photos of Hunter and his friends and teacher.

We took cupcakes to school for his birthday and Hunter had fun passing them out.

After school Hunter opened a present from Beau and they played. When Daddy got home from work, Hunter opened the rest of his presents from us. We ordered pizza and breadsticks and had some birthday cake.

Next Saturday we are taking Hunter and two friends, Beau, Jay's parents and brother to the PBR in St. Louis. We have gone the last couple of years and the boys love it. We thought that it would be a less stressful birthday party for all of us! Hunter's friends will stay all night too.

Birthday Boy!

Our baby is 7 today! It is amazing to me how quickly he has grown. Hunter is a smart boy. He loves first grade and has lots of friends. He loves to be outdoors, riding his 4-wheeler and hunting. He loves baseball. He is very caring towards others and a big helper. He is a wonderful son and brother! Happy Birthday Hunter! We love you!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I don't have very many pictures for this week, but maybe I will get some this weekend. We are off to Patoka today for the Valentine's Dinner/Dance. The boys are excited that they get to spend some quality time with Aunt Mindy and Uncle Ed and "ALL" of their toys!

Sledding

Enjoying the weather

Yesterday was a beautiful day! I spent some time cleaning out our vehicles and the kids tried out their new golf clubs from Christmas. Thank you God for days like this...it helps our spirits and reminds us that warm weather will be here soon! Have a great week!

Sledding at the Casey's

We spent Saturday sledding in Ramsey. My sister and her family were there too. The kids had a blast being pulled on a car hood behind the 4 wheeler. And they also went down the driveway on sleds. I did a little sliding myself (in my new car!). I tried driving up my parent's driveway and almost made it to the top and slid back down. Fortunately I did not hit the famous tree that my mom hit with her car when she slid down a few years ago! Thankfully, Mike and Phil were able to push it over and I slid back down and then drove it across the dam. I don't think I will try that again!

Sledding at the Jolliff's

We spent Friday evening in Patoka and enjoyed sledding with a bonfire! What a great idea. Papa had his big tractor out with lights so we could see and a nice fire to stay warm. Uncle Zeb was busy with his nephews taking them up and down the hills! Grandma and Gigi even came out to watch. Everyone had a fun time!
